Sky Girl Farm Recommends a variety of Harris Farms, Little Giant and Farm Tuff waterers and feeders. The size depends on the number of chickens you have. We recommend a feeder and waterer large enough for 2 days worth of feed/water. A chicken eats approximately 1/4 of a pound of feed per day. For waterers, a chicken can drink up to 2 cups (1/8 gallon) of water per day. It is best to check on your chickens' water regularly to make sure that they water is flowing and clean. We find that if the chickens don't have access to water, they tend not to eat.

Hardware Cloth is a necessity for any chicken coop. Chicken wire is great for keeping chickens in a coop, but it is not very effective for keeping varmint out. Hardware cloth has a small mesh size and is extremely robust when compared to chicken wire.
